Occupational Therapy Services
Assessments
At your child’s initial occupational therapy evaluation, I invite both your child and a caregiver to attend together. This helps me get to know your family and understand your child’s unique strengths and needs.
During the evaluation, I combine caregiver input, clinical observation, play-based activities, and standardized assessments (when appropriate) to understand how your child's nervous system, movement, sensory processing, and daily experiences work together. Rather than giving every child the same set of tests, I select assessment tools based on your child's unique needs and concerns.
The goal isn't simply to identify challenges—it's to understand why those challenges are happening. Together, we'll build a plan that supports your child's strengths, reduces barriers to participation, and helps them thrive at home, at school, and in the community.
Treatment
The pediatric occupational therapy sessions take place weekly, beginning after your child’s initial evaluation. Each session is individually tailored to your child’s needs and centered around shared goals.
Caregivers are warmly encouraged to be active participants—your involvement is a vital part of your child’s progress! By working together as a team, we build strong connections and help your child carry therapy strategies into daily life at home, school, and in the community.
My goal is to create sessions that are engaging, collaborative, and grounded in nervous system regulation — meeting your child where they are while supporting growth and confidence over time.
Consultations
I'm here to support your child’s growth in every setting where they learn and play. Occupational therapy consultations are flexible, collaborative, and designed to meet your family where you need it most.
Ways we can work together:
-
In-school observation: I can visit your child’s school to better understand their learning environment and identify supportive strategies.
-
School collaboration meetings: I'm happy to collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure everyone is aligned and working toward shared goals.
-
504 plans and IEPs: I can provide evaluations and recommendations to support 504 plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
-
Home support: I offer personalized strategies and practical tools to help carry therapy success into your child’s daily routines.
-
Teamwork with other care providers: I value a team approach and enjoy collaborating with other professionals involved in your child’s care.
Together, we’ll support your child across home, school, and community—building consistency and confidence along the way.
